Environmental Responsibility
We take our role as thoughtful custodians of the earth’s natural resources seriously. In our day-to-day operations, we make every attempt to minimize the environmental footprint of our operations.

Our commitment includes:

• Conducting an environmental evaluation of each prospect site including an action plan for the least-invasive operations to reduce environmental disturbance.
• Taking the extra step of cementing well casings to the surface for additional groundwater protection.
• Adhering to the most stringent regional compliance requirements; in many cases exceeding state and local regulations.
• Devoting approximately 20% of the daily activity of all line management to inspection of well operations.

Safe Operations
We are committed to safety and constantly strive for an accident free workplace. This commitment goes above and beyond compliance requirements to include a full range of training and active safety programs for our direct employees and contractors, to ensure they share the company’s vision and values.

Our safety commitment includes:

• Conducting weekly Safety Committee meetings to identify any potential risks or hazards in the workplace and immediately address these concerns
• Training all employees on Job Safety Analyses/Job Safety Hazards to assist the Safety Committee in creating procedures that establish an accident free workplace
• Fostering field ownership of our Safety Program to ensure our operators independently make good decisions and report all safety concerns

Community Involvement
All of us at U.S. Energy Development Corporation believe we have a responsibility to be a good corporate citizen and support the local communities in which we live and work. Our employees support a variety of charitable and non-profit organizations, including educational institutions, youth-oriented programs, food banks, and volunteer fire departments. We are especially proud of our employees who participate in our corporate-sponsored events such as Earth Day, the Bradford Mastercraft All-American Soap Box Derby, and the Adopt-A-Highway program. Our relationships with landowners and the communities in which we conduct business are characterized by trust, respect, and open and honest communications.  Our community involvement goal matches the goals of the communities we support: To enhance meaningful and sustainable local initiatives and to produce a positive impact on local economies.
