Spotlight Series: Meet Kevin Duncan

November 10, 2025

Meet Kevin Duncan, a true veteran of the oil patch whose career spans more than four decades across drilling, completions, and production. With deep expertise in every stage of the petroleum engineering lifecycle, Kevin has built a legacy of leadership, technical mastery, and an unwavering commitment to safe and efficient operations.

Kevin joined U.S. Energy Development Corporation in January 2020, and from day one, he recognized something special in the way the company evaluates, analyzes, and advances new opportunities. With a deal flow process he describes as a “well-oiled machine,” he quickly found himself energized by the pace, precision, and collaboration that power U.S. Energy’s success.

A Career Defined by Operational Excellence

Kevin takes immense pride in the many wells our Operations team has safely drilled and completed during his tenure. Each project, he says, is the result of meticulous planning, thoughtful execution, and a team of highly skilled professionals who bring their best every day.

“I have been involved with asset evaluation throughout most of my career, but I have never seen such a well-oiled machine as the process we have here at U.S. Energy… It’s truly what makes U.S. Energy so unique and successful.”

Inspired by Family, Driven by the Future

Behind Kevin’s remarkable career stands his wife, Cristia, whom he credits as his greatest inspiration and steadfast supporter. With her encouragement—and decades of hard-earned experience—Kevin feels more energized than ever about the road ahead for both himself and the company.

“I have never been more excited about the future than I am now with U.S. Energy.”

Since joining the company, Kevin has witnessed firsthand our steady growth and strengthening momentum. He firmly believes that the best is yet to come.

Building the Future of U.S. Energy

As U.S. Energy celebrates our 45th anniversary and looks ahead toward our 50th, Kevin is focused on:

  • Growing and developing our Operations team
  • Expanding our operational footprint
  • Enhancing efficiency and safety across projects
  • Continuing to raise the bar as we evolve into the next chapter of U.S. Energy

He also recognizes the importance of attracting and retaining exceptional talent—an essential piece of the company’s long-term success.

“Where U.S. Energy is now and where we want to be in the future depends on attracting and maintaining exceptional team members.”

With our new Fort Worth office and a culture built on teamwork and shared purpose, Kevin sees tremendous opportunity ahead.
