Todd Witmer

Todd Witmer is Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for U.S. Energy, bringing nearly 25 years of oil and gas industry experience. Mr. Witmer joined U.S. Energy in 2001 as a geologist and has since held a variety of leadership and executive positions, with responsibilities spanning geology, prospect development, acquisitions and divestitures, and strategic planning.

Since 2010, Mr. Witmer has focused extensively on opportunities across the Permian, Eagle Ford, Anadarko, Powder River, and Williston Basins. Earlier in his career, he concentrated on the Appalachian Basin, where he was responsible for the geologic development of more than 1,200 wells across New York and Pennsylvania, as well as multiple Marcellus Shale projects in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Mr. Witmer has also played a central role in U.S. Energy’s acquisition and divestiture activities. He has directly sourced and led acquisitions representing nearly $1 billion in aggregate transaction value, working alongside U.S. Energy’s technical, financial, land, legal, and executive teams to evaluate, negotiate, and execute transactions across the company’s core operating areas.

Mr. Witmer is a Certified Petroleum Geologist with significant technical and transactional experience across multiple basins throughout the Lower 48. He earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Geology, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
