August 26, 2021

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – U.S. Energy Development Corporation (U.S. Energy), an exploration & production (E&P) firm which provides direct investments in energy, announced today it has earned an ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management system, which was deployed as part of the company’s commitment to advancing its environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) efforts.

ISO 14001:2015 is intended for an organization to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to environmental sustainability. Consistent with the organization’s environmental policy, the intended outcomes of an environmental management system include enhancement of environmental performance, fulfilment of compliance obligations and achievement of
environmental objectives.

“I am very proud of the efforts made by our team to achieve its ISO 14001:2015 certification,” said Jordan Jayson, CEO and chairman of the board for U.S. Energy. “We have been very focused on implementing our ESG initiatives to do our part to protect the environment. Earning this certification is a testament to our hard work and efforts.”

By issuing this certification of achievement, U.S. Energy confirms via a third-party audit, that they are in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. In association with ISO 14001, the U.S. Energy team, when determining annual objectives and targets, has also chosen to follow ISO 26000:2010 guidelines. ISO 26000 is an international standard providing guidelines for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Examples of U.S. Energy’s 2021 objectives include a reduction of flaring by 90%, deployment of ESG scorecards for all projects, and improving community involvement via company sponsored PTO for volunteering and educational incentives.

Upon receiving the certification in 2021, U.S. Energy will maintain its designation until 2024 with annual surveillance audits. For more information about the ISO 14001:2015 standard or its requirements, visit
