U.S. Energy Development Corporation’s CEO Recognized as “Family Business CEOs to Watch 2021” by Family Business Magazine

February 1, 2022

(ARLINGTON, TEXAS) – February 1, 2022 – U.S. Energy Development Corporation (U.S. Energy) is proud to announce its CEO, Jordan Jayson, was chosen by Family Business Magazine for its annual list of “Family Business CEOs to Watch 2021. Jayson is one of only 28 CEOs chosen for this honor.

The annual list recognizes family and non-family chief executives that exceed their role as CEO, provide leadership and ingenuity for their business, and ensure their company is thriving for future generations. Family Business Magazine looks for CEOs making bold changes and adapting to evolving industries that overcome challenges and grow their business. For this year, the publication specifically sought CEOs who lead their team through the challenges of COVID-19.

“For over 40 years, U.S. Energy has been built on hard work, dedication and strong family core values. I am humbled to be on this year’s list. It is an incredible honor,” said Jordan. “I know my late parents would be very proud of where U.S. Energy is today. I’m committed to continuing to build on their legacy and look forward to creating additional opportunities for our employees and providing value to our investors.”

“I’m proud to call Jordan not only my brother-in-law, but also my CEO,” said Matthew Iak, Executive Vice President of U.S. Energy. “He is consistently working to drive the company further than before and provide his team with as much assistance and knowledge as possible. If the value of someone is by the company they keep, Jordan is priceless.”

As a result of being selected, Jayson was profiled by the publication, highlighting why he was recognized as an exceptional family business CEO.

Jayson joined U.S. Energy full-time after his family’s request that he step in and assist with the company’s growth plan. After working on Wall Street for ten years, Jayson joined the firm in 2009. He worked tirelessly for five years, striving to exceed his family and coworkers’ expectations, before being entrusted and named CEO in 2014.

In his role, Jayson has taken U.S. Energy to new heights, leading the company to invest in, operate, and/or drill more than 2,400 wells in 13 U.S. states and Canada, deploying over $1.6 billion on behalf of its partners. To set U.S. Energy apart from competitors and carve its own space into the industry, Jayson and his team implemented a stringent set of Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) standards. The company was among the first in the direct investment space to do so.
